Diddy’s/Diddy Dirty Money “Hello, Good Mornin” debut on American Idol was fine. The song was fun. It cracked the iTunes top 10 - but then again so did “Hide your Kids, Hide your Wife”.
The debut of “Coming Home” takes the Diddy Dirty Money crew to a whole new level. Sure, it’s reminiscent of “Airplanes” and “Love the Way you Lie” - and even has a bit of a T.I. feel to it. I think this only validates it as the hit that it is going to turn into over the next couple of weeks. Enjoy it now, because you are about to get sick of hearing it 40 times a day on your morning drive, your mid-day Top 10, you drive home, and your preferred weekend Top 40 show.
